The guide to indoor play grounds for toddlers in the Oklahoma City metro area

Indoor playgrounds are some of my favorite places to take my son since weather can be unpredictable in Oklahoma. When it is too windy or cold; visiting an indoor play ground is typically our go-to activity.

You may find one of these indoor playgrounds a fantastic venue for your little one's next birthday party. Many of the locations listed in this guide have their very own toddler times with special rates or certain play areas designed for babies and toddlers.

Blue Zoo is located inside of Quail Springs mall and has an upstairs indoor play area with a smaller rock climbing wall. When we visited there was an area to walk through with birds and an another spot to touch stingrays.

Usually there are live mermaid shows for families to enjoy. I seen plenty of toddlers and elementary school aged children enjoying themselves at this place but it is not much of a play ground. More like areas for toddlers and children to play, explore and see some animals.

My son still was able to do some climbing, play with a water table, tour the gift shops and get some cute photos ops in. It was so busy when we went during spring break for many Oklahoma schools. Therefore I recommend going when most schools are in session to avoid a huge crowd and long lines.

Kidz Funtown is so cute but do not forget grip socks. They often have them available to purchase but for sanitation reasons it is a shoe-free facility. There is usually small cups of complimentary coffee for parents to enjoy while they watch their children play.

You can get a membership if you frequent the place; and I bet your children will love it here. In one area there is a space for smaller children to play separately from the older school-aged children.

The environment here seems very family-friendly, laid-back and calm surprisingly for a children’s spot when I visit. What sets this place apart is the friendly staff and my son loves that he can do zip-lining and play on a trampoline and foam pit here.

Break-a-way is a larger indoor play ground complete with a trampoline. There are snacks available for purchase and areas for toddlers to enjoy. This is a great place for a birthday party. It is also a shoe-free spot so bring socks; even for adults. I do like this rule!

The party rooms are large and there is plenty of room for your toddler or school-aged children to run around and have fun. My son can spend hours here so I usually have his dad or grandma do the task of taking him. It is so hard to get him to leave this place!

This is a really great addition to the Edmond area and I am so thankful for this place since my son has a great time here.

Jump!Zone has bouncy houses and arcade games children love! I have visited various times with my son and he always has a great time. If you are in south Oklahoma City or closer to Moore then give it a try!

Playbox Indoor Playland is wonderful for children around the pre-school age. Sometimes they have special events such as parents night out type events.

Kid's Galaxy had an area for arcade games, toddlers and a neat slide for children to have fun. They offer private parties and have events I have seen advertised in the past.

Bubba Indoor Playzone is pretty small but cute. A lot of people I know have yet to try this place so be sure to check it out.

Dynamo Gymnastics has a small indoor play area for open play style fun for little ones to have fun with.

The Science Museum has indoor play grounds. Since admission is pricier; season passes are a must when we visit.  There is also a cafeteria inside to enjoy purchase and eat lunch or get a coffee to walk around.

Unpluggits paint and play in Edmond has an indoor playground and plenty of arts and crafts to do.

If you do not mind a drive; the Jasmine Moran Children's Museum in Seminole has a tall indoor play area children love climbing. The museum also has a cafeteria and gift shop.

Do not forget to visit the indoor play places at fast-food chains such as Chic-Fil-A or McDonalds locations. Oklahoma has plenty of those along with Chuck E. Cheese locations.

I think the best McDonald’s playground locations are on NW Expressway and McArthur or Memorial and McArthur. I like the Norman Chuck E. Cheese location best and the North Penn and Memorial Chic-Fil-a the most.
