Everything in this blog post is allegedly and for entertainment purposes. Each reader and guest should use their own best judgment and due their own research to work at home ideas they choose. These things are just my opinion. Each company suggested has their own rules and criteria to look into. I cannot make income claims as everyone's experience varies.
Being a stay at home mom or parent who works outside the home has its challenges. One example is how difficult it can be for some stay at home moms to make extra money without finding junk and scams online.
Been there; done that. I lost so much money its sad! Hopefully I can save you some time. Good news! I will be honest as a mom who does not have money and time to waste. It is heartbreaking losing money that could have went towards making memories with your family.
None of these ideas are not get rich quick schemes or going to make you a millionaire perhaps. They just have been super helpful and easy for me. I had no out of pocket expenses and just needed my smart phone that was super out-dated when I began these. No fancy equipment needed!
You do not need money ideas I am sharing. I have also tested them for years to make sure they are worthwhile. No degree? That is okay; these are ideas where that is not needed. Perhaps only the teaching ones may require more education or maybe the baby-sitting and housekeeping of course requires background checks. There are still other ideas if that is not for you.
A lot of parents love working outside of the home and we need that in the world. Those parents are incredible for their hard work and what they do too. Sometimes a little extra savings or spending cash never hurts.
Many stay at home moms can do these things I enjoy very part-time or just whenever you feel like it. You could even do a few!
The easiest way to make money online was by de-cluttering my child's closet. Mine too! No time? That's okay; just try this website for a clean-out kit or this app where a consignor may be able to assist. That just may help out a little until you find something you like better; and it varies on what you have selling too. Many apps only accept certain things; some pretty much anything safe goes..coffee mugs, remotes...you name it!
If you love clothing, shoes, accessories, or just shopping then you may want to consider this. Especially those who want my opinion on the most simple one yet. It may be a great option if you just want to see about making quick cash.
Everyone's experience varies but I had great luck! Besides; there are plenty of ways to do this. The more you post; the most you would earn on a lot of the platforms I tried. These days you do not even need a printer for majority of the reselling apps out. You can just use a QR code they provide once you make a sale. Want to make more? Some resellers post on various sites.
Want to do it more like a business? Once you make sales; use it it invest for more items at yard sales to resale. The part I dislike is photographing items but it is a job for me so I find it easier and more rewarding than other jobs I have tried in the past.
1. Have a consignor sell items that qualify!
2. Reselling on platforms such as my favorite reselling app that is no longer just for clothing. Even electronics goes!
3. Become a consignor yourself! Help other moms while choosing the percentage you get to keep. You would list their items they want sold.
4. See if there are openings to request a clean-out kit where this company lists and photographs your items for you! So easy!
5. Affiliate marketing for sites such as amazon
Do not feel overwhelmed because you do not have to do my way and I held off for years because the app I started with seemed "too much." Trust me; it ended up being way easier than rush hour traffic, gas prices at times, and mean customers at my old job. So I figured it out. I started going through my house, closet, and family's closet to see what I could sale.
The items I figured would not sale or had flaws always ended up selling the fastest for me. Income claims can not be given because each person is different who does things I suggest in this blog post. Some people make a lot more than someone who does not post a lot for sale. Of course if you just post five things a week; you will not be probably making p/t or f/t income...at least I am honest.
Some moms are even earning full-time income for themselves or enough to put gas in the car tanks or a dream vacation. Do not get overwhelmed by that. Just start by posting two or three things a week a day...or a month. Its up to you.
Do you like baby-sitting? If so you can set your own rates and it is very flexible. Parents can request you specifically because you will get your own profile link. I love referring the site to my mom friends who need a date night or occasional baby-sitter. It is totally legitimate and I find it great for people who just need help with finding a baby-sitter that has a profile to check out.
Another cool idea you could do is tutor children or students in your area or virtually. Some stay at home moms are teaching classes from the comfort of their own homes which sounds a lot of fun. There is a big demand for those who could assist with children who have special needs as well. Learn more here.
Want to get creative?
Maybe consider doing content creation,
design jobs, writing, or podcasting. Some moms love adding
affiliates to their blogging or
educational jobs. If you would not mind doing something outside the home you may want to check into substitute teaching, bus driving, lunch room attending, or hotel breakfast attendant positions. The ones in my area seem flexible and have shorter hours.
Some I have not tried but wanted to share in case it helps someone...
