If your children enjoy exploring nature; register them for an upcoming season of Tinkergarten classes. These are outdoor learning type of classes and a perfect way for them to socialize.
There are a lot of online and meet-up style groups for play dates, homeschooling field trips, and more by joining HERE.
iFly is indoor sky-diving.
Harkins is a movie theater with a child care area.
Hey Day is filled with activities such as bowling.
Top Golf is indoor golfing. It is so much fun to do with my son.
Star Skate is an older skating rink I used to even go to as a child.
Blue Zoo is an aquarium inside Quail Springs Mall. It is great for toddlers or smaller children.
Mitch Park is at the YMCA but has an indoor pool which is great for colder weather months.
Riversport is a large water park filled with zip-lining, surfing and more.
Main Event has arcade games and activities such as laser tag.
Frontier City is an amusement park. It is pricier so season passes typically can make your visit cheaper if you go more than once.
Carriage Rides in Bricktown seem to be a big hit for children!
Chisholm Creek has a small outdoor play area and plenty of family-friendly restaurants.
Scissortail Park has an outdoor splash pad open during the Summer. It is free of charge and connected to a large outdoor playground. Children could play here a long time as there is plenty to do. Usually there are concerts, food trucks and restaurants open. It seems to really depend on the weather!
Orr Family Farm is open certain months throughout the year it seems. My child did not want to leave! There is food you can purchase there and farm animals to see. I highly recommend it around Fall season.
Chuck E. Cheese has locations in Norman and a few throughout Oklahoma City. Check out their lunch deals some locations offer. I really like the Norman location as it's newer and close to the highway which is convenient if you are traveling from a different city.
Hurricane Harbor is an outdoor water park. Sometimes they have events where you can watch movies while in the pool evening nights.
Martin Nature Park is so underrated in my opinion. I often see deer when I am there. It is great for family photo sessions and hiking. If you bring cat food; you are welcome to feed the fish and turtles in the water. There is a park my child loves there and it always looks well-kept and clean.
If you have a baby and an older child; this park may be great for you! There is a circular trail around the park so you can exercise walking and pushing your baby stroller there.
Sam Noble Museum in Norman is known as the "dinosaur" museum to people. I love visiting during the Fall as they tend to offer cool events for children of all ages. There is a small children's room inside, café and a gift shop.
Oklahoma City Zoo can be busy when the weather is great but overall I think it is better than a lot of zoos I have visited across the nation. I like visiting this zoo just to exercise...even without kids as they offer season passes.
Regal Warren Moore is my favorite movie theater to visit and there is another location that is smaller but just as nice in Midwest City.
Wheeler Ferris Wheel in the Wheeler District is perfect for children to run around outdoors. There are outdoor yard games and hammocks. I have attended a few events here where vendors and food trucks come out.
Bricktown Water Taxi is good for older children but I have taken toddlers. The tour guides give some Oklahoma history facts during the ride. If you are new to the area or just visiting; they offer some suggestions on more attractions to visit in the area while you enjoy the water taxi ride.Kid's Galaxy in Edmond has a toddler play area, arcade games and an indoor playground. They offer birthday parties and it is cute for play dates.
Bubba Indoor Playground has a cute atmosphere if you are planning a jungle-themed party. There is also a separate area for smaller children to enjoy. There is merchandise to purchase and an indoor playground with slides.
Kidz Funtown in Edmond has such a friendly-staff. Children can zip-line and parents can enjoy complimentary coffee while their little ones play on the trampoline, foam pit and more. You will need some grippy socks to attend and parents go shoeless but keep on their socks. This helps with sanitation which is nice they keep these details in mind.
Myriad Botanical Gardens has a children's garden with a carousel. It is not open sometimes if the weather is cold but the crystal bridge is a very popular attraction as well. The crystal bridge charges an admission but often does a complimentary story time for children certain weekdays. Outdoor sight-seeing is free; children would enjoy looking at fish and ducks. There is a splash pad during the Summer and you can book parties, events and weddings here.
is great for toddlers and elementary school children. I highly recommend getting a season pass if you are local to Oklahoma. They make for the perfect birthday or holiday gift! There is a cafeteria area, gift shop and dome movie room that shows educational films sometimes.
Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks is worth the drive I feel. It is not too far from Tulsa, Oklahoma. This makes for a great road trip! When we visited; my son loved the outdoor playground. They do have arcade games, cotton candy at their concession stand and an octopus to see. We cannot wait to go back!
Oklahoma Firefighters Museum is small inside and should not take too long looking at but there is an outdoor playground your children can enjoy for a bit.
Westwood Family Aquatic Center is so much fun for children. Who does not love a water park? This particular water park tends to stay open later in the year compared to other ones in the area...that is a plus! Sometimes we get great pool weather in September being in Oklahoma.
We Rock the Spectrum in Edmond has toys and fun things for children to play with. They have themed events sometimes and you can book them for children's parties.
Jasmine Moran Children's Museum is probably my child's favorite place to visit. As a child; I remember it being my absolute favorite field trip. There is a large indoor climbing area, water play area and tons of things for children to do. It is so cute watching them play at the pretend grocery store. Plan to spend hours there as they even have an outdoor play area and larger maze.
