Needing an Oklahoma baby shower venue? Look into the community centers in Edmond and Midwest City as they seem to be affordable. There are plenty of pricier options but I thought these rates were very affordable and had to share. Add your own decorations to make it unique and cute.
Will Rogers Gardens also offers indoor and pavilion rentals and I thought their pricing was pretty great for a frugal budget. This spot would be cute for a garden theme.
Venue Options in and near Norman Oklahoma: Ivy Lane,Canadian River Winery. and The Meating Place. Maybe make it a dinner party!
Wanting a more fun space for your baby shower or a more tropical theme? Why not consider renting a day pass at a resort or a private pool for pretty background scenery for photos.
There are other great options such as the Edmond Historical Museum. I noticed their pricing was not too pricey at all. I found it completely affordable if you want a more historical looking party. This would be cute for a tea party theme.
Not near one of those venues? Look into parks, community centers, small event centers, hotel meeting spaces and restaurants' private rooms. Those type of spaces tend to be cheaper versus the larger event venues.
Ask venues their policies on weather, outside catering, alcohol and liquor rules (to those that applies to over age 21+), parking costs, deposits, due dates on final payments and things of that nature. Make sure you have a contract set in place before sending out your invitations.
Of course the cheapest option would be just hosting at your own home or a relatives. Usually you can find a great Air BnB in bigger cities that may even be decorated well to go along with your baby shower theme.
Etsy has everything you need for baby showers; except the venue. There are plenty of affordable handmade and custom items. You can find invitations, decorations, supplies, party favors, gifts, linens and more.
As far as food ideas; if the baby shower is around brunch...consider ordering breakfast burritos or doing Mom-osas (mocktail for the mom-to-be) and a waffle bar? Donuts, cupcakes and baking your own cake are pretty frugal-friendly.
You can do a dessert table versus a fancy buffet but I would not suggest hosting a party around dinner or lunch time if you do this; people will probably expect a meal. If so; why not do tacos or pizza? People typically always like tacos. Keep options available like salad or pasta for any guests that have allergies or do not eat certain things. You can get a cake at places such as Costco or Sam's if you are running short on time.
